Beyond Bank Becomes Major Naming Rights Partner With New Logo Unveiled

The Parramatta Referees are proud to announce Beyond Bank Australia as the major naming rights partner of the Parramatta Referees Emerging Squad.

This partnership represents a significant step forward in developing match officials not only in their performance on the field, but also in their mental health, confidence, and personal well-being off it.

A New Era: The Beyond Bank Parramatta Referees Emerging Squad

With Beyond Bank’s support, the Emerging Squad continues to set the benchmark for referee development. The program will now expand its focus beyond technical officiating to include mental health awareness, resilience training, and life skills programs, helping members grow into confident, capable individuals both on and off the field. Officiating can be mentally demanding, and this partnership ensures members are supported holistically, learning to handle pressure, build resilience, and develop positive habits that extend beyond sport. Through these initiatives, the Association is not just developing better referees, but better people for everyday life.

Every member of the Beyond Bank Parramatta Referees Emerging Squad receives:

• Custom-designed training and on-field apparel exclusive to the squad
• Access to GPS units to monitor loads & provide more insights to our coaching team
• Advanced coaching and mentoring
• Mental health and wellbeing sessions focused on resilience and balance
• Leadership and communication workshops
• Video analysis and structured performance feedback
• Eligibility for representative opportunities and the annual Emerging Squad awards

This strengthened investment allows the Association to deliver high-quality programs and experiences unmatched at this level anywhere in the officiating space.

Introducing the New Emerging Squad Logo

The Association has unveiled a refreshed Emerging Squad logo, symbolising growth, leadership, and the pursuit of excellence.

The logo represents:

• Five stars – reflecting the five pillars of growth: Integrity, Leadership, Teamwork, Performance, and Wellbeing. They also symbolise the five-star quality of the program and its commitment to excellence, as well as the five stepping stones along the officiating pathway — guiding referees from their first whistle to representative honours.
• A rising star above the whistle – signifying each member’s journey toward higher levels and greater responsibility.
• A whistle – representing authority, fairness, confidence under pressure & remembrance of our ultimate goal for each match official in the program.
• A modern shield – blending the Association’s strong tradition with a bold, future-focused identity.

Two editions of the logo have been released:

1. Gold and Navy Edition – symbolising prestige, excellence, and achievement.
2. Black and White Edition – a refined version for print and digital use, maintaining tradition and professionalism.

Both versions will feature across official apparel, merchandise, and media platforms, showcasing the squad’s pride, unity, and high standards.

Off-Season Development and the Inaugural Emerging Squad Summit

As part of this expanded partnership, the Association will host its first-ever Officiating Emerging Squad Summit in December an Association-first event that will bring together members for intensive learning, personal development, and team-building under the theme “Leadership Through Actions.”

The Summit will feature:

• Advanced practical and technical officiating workshops
• Mental health and resilience sessions
• Leadership, communication, and teamwork training
• Personal reflection and growth activities

The goal is to ensure each member leaves not only as a stronger match official but also as a more confident, grounded, and capable individual in all aspects of life.

Ethan Murray, Director of Officiating, said this partnership marks a major milestone for the Association “Beyond Bank’s support allows us to invest in our members more than ever before. On the rebrand, Ethan added, “The new logo captures what the Emerging Squad stands for growth, pride, and purpose. The five stars represent our commitment to delivering a five-star program, developing our people step by step through every stage of the officiating pathway.”
