Emerging Squad Grows as Parramatta Referees Recognise Standout Performers

The Parramatta Referees Association is proud to announce the expansion of its Emerging Squad following a strong pre-season. After weeks of dedicated training and competitive trials, Zachary Maalouf, Nick Formosa, and Noah Baxter have been rewarded for their outstanding application and attitude, earning their places in the squad.
This growth further cements Parramatta’s commitment to fostering the next generation of referees. With the latest additions, the Emerging Squad now boasts a record-breaking number of officials, reflecting the depth of talent within the Association.

Director of Officiating, Ethan Murray, praised the trio for their dedication and consistency:
“These members displayed exceptional effort and a strong mindset throughout our pre-season. Their commitment to learning and development stood out, and it’s fantastic to see them recognised with selection in the Emerging Squad. They’ve truly earned this opportunity.”
The Emerging Squad serves as a critical development pathway, offering referees opportunities to refine their skills and gain experience across various competitions. With mentorship from experienced officials and exposure to higher levels of the game, these referees are well-positioned to take their officiating careers to new heights.
Congratulations to Zachary, Nick, and Noah on their well-deserved selections. Their achievements are a testament to their dedication and the strength of the Parramatta Referees development programs.
As the season progresses, we look forward to seeing their continued growth and success on the field.
